Build me up Buttercup

Thinking about a wee holiday? I don't work for the Northern Irish tourist board or anything, but you should seriously consider a trip to Ireland. It is so beautiful at this time of year! Everything is so green, long, lush, and colourful. Today we trekked through a quiet and serene buttercup field. I guess Jack thought it was too quiet, so he started to squeal at the top of his lungs, just for the heck of it. Toddlers love to disturb the peace. We all came away a wee bit yellow, including Maisey the dog who is a nice shade of green now.

Jack matched the buttercups in his Aigle Lollypop wellies. He also rocked a pair of Zara kids jeans, and an H&M tee from the conscious range.

  1. Buttercups are so very pretty--and a whole field of them! Looks like a relaxing place to spend a day-Ireland you say? Maybe some day I'll get there---

    1. I hope so too Jackqueleen. As much as I get sick of the almost constant rain and cold, I realise that's why Ireland is so green and beautiful! I hope very much that someday you'll visit.

  3. Love the pics! He belongs in a magazine and inside photo frames in the store - what a cutie!
I would love to visit one day! It's difficult when you have relatives throughout Europe. You can never visit anywhere else but their countries. Hee-hee. 15 years to retirement and I'm going everywhere!! :)

  10. I just love these bright & cheerful photos.. and your Jack's curls!
Our littlest, Beau, enjoyed harvesting rhubarb yesterday.. a favorite each year, as he just LOVES playing with the giant green leaves. They make lovely hats, pterodactyl wings, etc. :) Bo buttercups here just yet.. but we love them when they arrive!

    1. That sounds like brilliant fun, Amanda! Hats and wings! What an imagination! I think rhubarb is one of those hardy plants that can even grow with ease in rainy old Ireland. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a patch or field!
      Thanks for your comment.

  21. So true on the toddler's loving to scream. Sometimes I scream with my 6yo grandbabykins, and then we both really laugh. Love the pics of the field of flowers and the adorable little boy. Wonderful.
