The Little Tin Wheelbarrow

My little man was at the gardening again, making lots of use of his new blue wheelbarrow. I picked up this vintage beauty from eBay a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was a bargain at a tenner. I photographed him in the garden against my sky blue backdrop.

Today, Jack was wearing his American Apparel Navy and Light blue Rib Tanks along with the Kids Interlock running shorts. He's also wearing the AA kids colour block socks which go amazingly with his vintage T-bar sandals. It seemed such a shame to hide the two tone socks under his trainers, so I think I'll keep these little socks for whenever he's wearing these.

Pink & Blue, for me and you.

From the minute I set eyes on these American Apparel infant Cable knit sweaters I was in love. They're available in 3 colours. Jack and Martha match in their pink and blue styles. As you would expect, the quality is amazing, and they're so cozy for the little ones. At £26, they are definitely at the higher end of the AA kids range price bracket.

Below, Jack is wearing his American Apparel Infant Tri-blend rib cardigan. Boysadear, this cardi has been on the go since he was about 6 months old. It just keeps on going, and almost seems to grow with him as the fabric is quite stretchy. He's teamed it with some H&M skinny jeans, green baby Converse, and a vintage tee.

The Red Cap

I'm pretty sure it's normal for a toddler to experience a wide range of emotions in a day. Or even an hour. But today I managed to capture Jack displaying variety of expressions within a few seconds! I'm still not even sure why he put the lip on! I thought it would be fun to put the photos together. I used my white and red backdrops together for the two-tone effect.

Everything red in this post was supplied by American Apparel. Regular readers will know I love AA for the adultwear as well as the quality children's clothing. So I was thrilled to receive a parcel filled with funky little items for Jack. (Thanks Martine!) Check out the cord flat cap! It's still a bit big on him, but it's so cute! He was so into trying to put it on his own head! He is also wearing the infant red tank and a pair of skinny jeans from Baby Zara. Below, he is wearing the Infant baby ribbed Shorts sleeve tee. I have these in a range of colours for him (and me, obviously in the adult size!) They come in so handy for layering. 

Mellow Yellow

Today we have a special featured guest! Introducing... Martha! Jack's girlfriend. Martha is quite the little talking point in our house. Jack just adores her. Being the slightly younger one, Jack is fascinated with her, and he imitates everything she says and does. Not to mention her Mummy and I are great friends, so we kind of hope they are going to grow up and get married. We already have parts of their wedding planned out. Only slightly joking.

I photographed Martha against my new Creativity Backgrounds Buttercup backdrop today. I love the colour, although it's definitely not the easiest backdrop to use. Every little crease and shadow shows up which requires a bit of work in photoshop to remove or smooth out. Still, the results are worth it I think. My flash was out of battery today, so these were taken with natural light and my reflector disk. Can I draw your attention to Martha's new vintage wig-wam jumper? Flipping gorgeous! We tried to photograph both Jack and Martha together, but it was pretty much impossible, so I have added a little photo of Jack on his lonesome. He's wearing a simple striped vest from H&M - my current fave item in Jack's wardrobe.



LumberJack

Check out Jack's new Lumberjack shirt from baby Gap. Golly- I just can't stop cuddling him in it. It's so adorable on him. The trou are Zara kids, and he's also wearing his black Converse high-tops.

For anyone interested in the backdrops I use- this is my new Cherry drop, from Creativity Backgrounds. I have rolled it out with my Calumet grey backdrop to create the two-tone effect. I'm excited to have added 4 new colours to my collection recently. In my last post I tried out Chestnut for the first time. I love it! I'll be testing the other two soon. Come back to see the results!
